on the road with toddlers...

If you ever need to get three toddlers plus luggage and carseats through the airport, I think our system worked about as well as could be expected. Here's what we did:

Each adult wore one twin on their back (Ergo/Beco). Each adult pulled one rolling suitcase with a carseat strapped to it. Jono rode in one of the carseats. One adult carried the (BIG) tote bag with on-plane entertainment, diapers, snacks, etc. The other adult carried the third carseat. It worked really, really well. The carriers were perfect--I didn't regret not bringing my stroller for one minute. Sure, it was a pain to get through security, but what plan wouldn't have been?

Waiting for the plane to Kansas City. Excuse the snot-nosed baby girl. Both littles were sick.

And in the KC airport on the way back home.

Kudos to my engineer husband for figuring out the hooking the carseats to the suitcases operation. Fantastic use of climbing webbing, my dear!

LOL what a feat! I totally agree about strollers only being a hassle in the airport. We've never brought them either.
