Galveston!

The kiddos' first beach outing was a success! Hazel and Jonathan loved it, and Charlie didn't mind much. Here are a few pictures and videos.

Hazel was absolutely fearless. She would crawl straight out into the ocean until a wave smacked her in the face. Then she'd come up sputtering, but smiling. I'm sorry for the sideways video. I'm not sure how to fix that.

Charlie enjoyed flirting with the lady next to us. Here he is peeking out at her from underneath our umbrella. Silly boy!

The island looks pretty good post-Ike. There were lots of buildings that looked quite wind-blown with blue tarp roofs, but no debris, and no glaring damage. I was pleasantly surprised.

Well, of course, they had a successful beach outing.... there's a little bit of Nana in them all!

I don't think I've commented before, but the floaty shirts are really neat. Erin, I like your swimsuit, too. Thanks for the good word on Galveston post Ike.

What a fun day. I would have loved being there with you!

That looks like tons of fun! Nathan and I think we should do a cousin's outing to the beach when they are all a bit older. I think it would be fun!
