Inside are "candy" filled eggs with trail mix, mini teddy grahams, and Fruit Loops. Don't laugh--those count as serious treats to my toddlers! They also have Play-Doh eggs, sidewalk chalk eggs, and a shakey egg. Jono's really the only one who will care about sidewalk chalk and Play-Doh, but that's OK.
Remind me next year that I want to put their bathing suits in their baskets. I heard someone say that the Easter Bunny always brought them their bathing suit, goggles, sunblock, etc for the summer when they were kids and I thought that was cute. I had already purchased swimwear this year, though, so it seems like cheating to pull it out of their drawers and put it in baskets when they've already "seen" it. Plus, Charlie's suit is a hand-me-down. That would really be cheating. Hence, the compromise with the beach towels this year.
Also, next year, I want to grow real grass in their baskets. I read this blog post about 5 days too late. You need 10 days minimum, 2 weeks preferably. So, next year it is!
I'll post pictures of them in their Easter duds with their baskets soon. Stay tuned!
