Finished a project!

I made a wrap-to-podeagi conversion, and it's so fun! A podeagi is similar to a mei tai (which many of you have see me wear) but it's roots are in Korea rather than in China. It lacks bottom straps, and has a longer body. Tough to describe, but works well.

Below, a front carry with Hazel and a back carry with Jono (who was bribed into particiaptation with his toothbrush--the kid loves to brush his teeth!).

tewoooo!

Jono's newest game is to climb up on the couch, stand up, and wait until one of us counts, "One, two, three, JUMP!" before he starts jumping. If we don't start counting soon enough, he starts counting for us. In the cutest little voice he says, "Tewooo!" which is "Two" all drawn out and slow. Cracks me up!

Christmas Card 2008

out of towners--coming soon to a mailbox near you!

Christmas morning

Some gift-opening pictures for the grandparents...

Charlie and Hazel, waiting for Jono to be released from the hallway:

Jono, with his new baby and his tractor book from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Matt. The book was a big hit, since it is a combo of two of his favorite things--a book with wheels!

Charlie and Hazel, about to open some new wood toys from Nana.

Me, in my sock monkey slippers. Carrie, you have no idea how many times I've been tempted to buy them for myself when I've seen them! Thank you!

Checking out the new backyard climbing toy:

Jono and Hazel like it!

David got a hammock from his kids. And yes, it was warm enough to be outside in diapers.

Charlie liked it!

Hazel loved it, but she was tired of it by the time I got there with the camera.

Good times!

several things from today

By popular request, a picture of how I use double Bumbos to go grocery shopping with the babies. Despite appearances, they love it!

Also, a picture of the dining room now that it's been rearranged for five eaters in the family. Jono got promoted to the big table. We'll see how he handles that. Breakfast tomorrow will be the first test.

The babies tried out their new places tonight with a first tasting of cereal. Big hit for sure. And quite messy! Thank you for the Christmas booster seats, Grandma and Grandpa!

And also by request, our Christmas tree! If you think the ornaments are unevenly weighted toward the top of the tree--you're right. When Jono pulls one off, I just hang it back on out of his reach. Eventually he'll run out of ornaments to steal. But maybe not before it's time to take the tree down.

Charlie eats!

mmm, biter biscuit!

darn! dropped it.

oh! there it is!

He was a big fan. Jono, when he woke up from his nap and found Charlie in his high chair, was NOT a big fan. A little bit jealous. This new stage will take some getting used to for everyone!
